Combining Clinical expertise with evidence based trichology
Hi, I’m Gina, a certified trichologist with qualifications from The Institute of Trichologists and The Trichological Society.
With more than 40 years of experience in the hair industry, I’ve seen first hand how deeply hair is connected to personality, confidence, and personal identity.
What sparks a trichologist’s curiosity is understanding why the hair and scalp presents hair loss, shedding, rashes, or scaling — often when the rest of the body shows no obvious signs of concern.
This curiosity leads us to delve deeper into the body’s biology: studying blood tests, exploring hormonal panels, and assessing the what, why, and where behind every condition to uncover the true cause, that will help you identify your hair loss cause and decide on an effective treatment.
At Dorset Trichology, we understand that healthy hair is influenced by many factors, including nutrition, hormones, lifestyle, stress and overall wellbeing.
Our approach focuses on understanding your individual needs through a detailed assessment of your hair, scalp, and general health.
By identifying the factors that may be contributing, we can provide personalised, evidence-informed recommendations tailored to you.
We believe in delivering professional, science-led care and supporting you throughout your journey towards improved hair and scalp health.

This specialist genetic test from Fagron® is designed to analyse specific DNA markers obtained through a simple cheek swab.
The test helps identify how your body may respond to certain anti-androgen therapies commonly used in the management of hair loss conditions, allowing for a more personalised and targeted treatment approach.
This advanced trichology investigation supports more informed treatment decisions by reducing unnecessary trial-and-error prescribing and identifying the therapies most likely to be beneficial for your individual genetic profile.
“This helps identify which therapies your body may be more genetically responsive to.”
Gift vouchers are available for those wishing to offer practical and thoughtful support to a friend or loved one experiencing hair or scalp concerns.
A consultation voucher may also be a meaningful option for someone who may not otherwise prioritise or feel able to access professional guidance for themselves.
